We sold the house, bought a fifth wheel, and learned what we wanted to build
A family business, three generations in, on forty acres of Carolina pine.
After a decade of owning and managing franchises, and five years in our first home, we decided it was time for a change. We sold it all and bought a fifth wheel to live in full-time with our kids and two dogs.
Though we had no prior experience with camping, we dove into the lifestyle headfirst. Over the next year, we rediscovered what truly mattered as a family. The simplicity and connection to nature that camping offered grounded us, and opened our eyes to a community that values experiences over possessions.
That newfound perspective sparked a dream: to own and operate a family campground. So we returned to our home state of North Carolina, where, alongside our family, we began turning it into a reality.
As a family and a business, we’re excited to share the joys of camping with others, and hope to offer the same experiences that ignited our passion for the outdoors.

Four couples and one idea
Joe and Theresa Judge had a vision of a family business that included all three of their children and their families. Heather and Charlie Greene, Kelley and Joe Del Vecchio, and Bryan and Jessie Judge each brought a different trade to it — coaching and customer relations, an electrical contracting business, and ten years of running franchises. The campground is what they built together.
